Brad is a founding partner and is currently the managing partner of WhaleRock Point Partners, LLC. Brad specializes in Tax and Estate Law as well as being the firms CIO. Prior to founding WhaleRock, Brad was a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Bank of America and one of its predecessor banks, Fleet Financial Group. In his prior capacity, Brad managed high net worth and institutional portfolios of $550 million and was responsible for overall asset allocation decision making, portfolio construction and implementation.
He graduated from Harvard University with an AB in Economics in 1984 and obtained his law degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1987.

Tyson joined the firm as a partner in 2014. He brings over 20 years of experience working with ultra high net worth private clients and institutional investment managers, most recently with JP Morgan, where he advised some of the bank’s largest clients in addressing their complex planning, banking, fiduciary, charitable and investment needs.
At WhaleRock, Tyson is responsible for developing and managing relationships with high net worth clients and their families, advising on the full spectrum of wealth management issues, drawing upon the various resources of the firm and its outside network of expert professionals.
Prior to JP Morgan, Tyson was Managing Director at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management, where he served as a Private Client Advisor to high net worth individuals and their families, including executives, proprietors, and prominent commercial clients. During those years Tyson teamed with WhaleRock Managing Partner Brad Dorman on key relationships, many of which are now here at WhaleRock.
Prior to joining U.S. Trust in 2001, he was a Vice President at Thomson Financial, and began his career in 1988 at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York, in the Global Custody and Securities division. Tyson currently holds numerous professional securities licenses – Series 7, 66, and 63. Committed to a continuing education, he has completed various executive education courses, including Chartered Trust Financial Analyst (Level I) and the Foundations of Investment Management program at Stanford University. An active member of his community, Tyson serves on the Board of Overseers at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, is a past Trustee of the Providence Preservation Society and member of the Rhode Island Estate Planning Council. Tyson resides with his wife Kristin and their three children in Newport, Rhode Island.
Tyson earned a Bachelor of Arts at Villanova University, and serves as on the Board of the President’s Leadership Council as well as the Capital Campaign Executive Committee.
James B. Webber | Portfolio Manager

Jerry is a licensed investment representative with over 35 years of experience.
Jerry joined WhaleRock in 2009, prior to that he held the position of Vice President and Portfolio Manager at U S Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management and Fleet Financial Group. There he provided customized investment management for individuals and institutions.
Jerry has been a Private Trustee for numerous private trusts since 1996, has been on the Board of Directors for 501(c)(3) Team USA – United States Fly Fishing Competitive Team since 1997, and has been a member of the Providence Society of Financial Analysts since 2001. He is an avid fly fisherman, having fished extensively in Montana, Iceland, and Maine, where he was previously a portfolio manager. Jerry graduated from Trinity College with a BS in 1971.
John P. Genco, CFA | Portfolio Strategist

John joined WhaleRock Point Partners in 2018 as a Portfolio Strategist. He is responsible for asset allocation, security selection and equity modeling. Prior to joining WhaleRock, John worked for Beaumont Financial Partners where he honed his skills in all three of those disciplines for their clients within the high net worth group. In addition, John performed extensive analysis and trading in the areas of equity, fixed income, and alternative investments. John has experience in constructing, investing, re-balancing client portfolios where his work will be primarily focused at WhaleRock. John is responsible for a majority of WhaleRock’s equity and fixed income trading while assisting in client portfolio strategy.
John received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Boston College. He holds the Series 65 license with FINRA and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Mr. Genco is a member of the CFA Society of Boston, as well as the Boston Securities Traders Association. John currently resides in Boston however, spends much of his time in Rhode Island as well.
Jacalyn R. Reed | Retirement Solutions
Focus Area: Retirement Plan Specialist
Education: Villanova University
Jacalyn joined WhaleRock Point Partners in 2017 as a Retirement Plan Specialist after being with Putnam Investments since 2013.
Ms. Reed worked with the defined contribution team, as well as, Putnam’s full-service record keeping business. Post completion of Putnam’s intensive Retail Management Training Program, Jacalyn spent the last two years working on the Defined Contribution Investment Only Team. In this role, she worked in the mid and large market retirement plan space. Ms. Reed performed fund analysis and advised industry partners on plan design, fund lineup selection, and plan sponsor presentations specifically for financial advisors, consultants and record keeping partners.
An experienced specialist in Retirement Plan Business, Jacalyn brings operational, plan structure and investment knowledge to WhaleRock’s Retirement Solutions Group and its clients.
Jacalyn received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Political Science from Villanova University. She holds Series 6 and 63 licenses with FINRA. Jacalyn resides in Boston and chairs Villanova’s regional Young Alumni Association.
Bryan W. Berard | Retirement Solutions

Bryan joined the WhaleRock team in 2013 with a focus in Business Development. A native Rhode Islander, Bryan played twelve successful seasons in the National Hockey League before retiring in 2009.
Bryan was drafted 1st overall in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft and was awarded the Calder Memorial Trophy for Rookie of the Year in 1996-1997. He was a member of the United States Olympic team in 1998, and in the 2003-2004 season he received the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy, given to the NHL player who best exemplifies perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to the game of hockey.
In his role at WhaleRock, Bryan focuses on new business development for institutional retirement plans. Bryan’s job responsibility is to work closely with our Portfolio Management Team, Director of Retirement Services and firm Partners to acquire and develop new client relationships for WhaleRock. His primary focus is to grow and retain 401k business; In addition, he spends considerable time cultivating and maintaining relationships on the High Net Worth side. His exceptional communication skills allow him to thrive as a center of influence which furthermore strengthens the bond between the firm and our client base.
In addition, Bryan is the Director of Player Development for the hockey program at his alma mater, Mount Saint Charles Academy, in Woonsocket, RI.
Peter T. Boss, MBA | Analyst
Focus Area: Alternative Investments
Education: St. Lawrence University, Babson College
Peter joined WhaleRock in 2010 to lead new business development after completing his MBA.
He has worked in a variety of fields in New York City over the past 15 years, most notably for Civic Entertainment Group and then in the investment management business in marketing, business development, client relations and sales.
Peter’s area of interest and passion in Family Council Development provides clients with a systematic approach to wealth preservation, understanding money values along with methods to address multi-generation family business complexities.
Peter serves on the board of IQuest Analytics, a semantic search company based in Rhode Island.
He holds a BA in history from St. Lawrence University and an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.
Peter currently resides in Haverford, PA and Newport, RI with his wife Megan and two daughters.
Jack H. Stallman | Analyst

Jack joined WhaleRock as a Research Analyst focusing on Equity and Fixed Income research and analysis. In 2017 we hired Jack at WhaleRock to work on several projects which he completed with aplomb utilizing his skills with Bloomberg and Morningstar and mastery of Excel. After concluding two tours with WhaleRock as an undergraduate we are thrilled he has joined WhaleRock full-time and will play an important role on our Investment Team. Subsequently, his double major in Engineering and Physics at Trinity College have proved invaluable to the modeling and analytical work he has been performing daily. Jack will be working closely with our Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Strategist, and Chief Investment Officer.
Jack holds his Series 65 with FINRA and is a candidate for the CFA. While earning his degrees with honors, Jack played attack on the Men’s Varsity Lacrosse Team at Trinity College. He currently resides in Barrington, RI.
Lisa M. Farias | Office Manager

Lisa has over 25 years of administrative and operational experience in financial services. Lisa worked with and supported portfolio managers at Bank of America and Fleet Investment Advisors and has been with WhaleRock since inception. Lisa’s experience spans the retail and institutional brokerage arenas as well as high net worth and institutional wealth management service and administration.
Leslie A. Sawyer | Administrative Assistant

Leslie joined WhaleRock Point Partners in 2019 as an Administrative Assistant from the Hospitality industry where she had worked since 2015. Holding various management and client service jobs in the restaurant and hotel space, Leslie has gained valuable client service and communication experience in those positions. A recent graduate of Salve Regina, Ms. Sawyer earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and utilizes both her business degree and management experience in the hospitality industry to assist portfolio managers with account performance, portfolio administration, and a variety of other administrative tasks to assist our clientele. She works closely with Senior Management and our Portfolio team providing necessary support and assistance in office and client-related matters. Leslie currently resides in Warwick and we are pleased to have her on our team as she brings an energy and charisma to our rapidly expanding firm.
